MEDICAL
In January 2004 (at three months old), Camille was diagnosed with West Syndrome (Infantile Spasms), a rare form of catastrophic childhood epilepsy. Her seizures were controlled after 18 months, but the severity of her seizure activity impaired her daily functioning of basic skills. Over time, Camille was also diagnosed with other conditions including cerebral palsy, pulmonary hypertension, and global developmental delays.
Camille is fortunate to have outstanding medical care with physicians at Children’s Hospital and private practice. In addition to her beloved pediatricians, Camille is seen by specialists and early intervention therapists to maximize her developmental outcome. Her incredible team helps her navigate her medical and developmental journey.
